Frequently asked questions.
General
What will the weather be like?
We wish we had a crystal ball (or at least a friendly weather wizard), but we can’t say for sure yet! Our fingers are crossed for that perfect, crisp fall day—cool enough for cozy wraps, warm enough to dance under the stars next to the bonfire. Either way, love will be in the forecast.
Where should I stay?
For our out-of-town guests, we’ve reserved a wedding block at Crown Pointe Lodge in Farmington, MO. Call to book and mention McAvoy Wedding to snag the discounted rate. If you’re feeling extra cozy or adventurous, there are also plenty of charming Airbnbs and bed-and-breakfasts within 30 minutes of the venue—perfect for turning our wedding into your own little getaway. Check out our Travel page for more details.
How should I get there?
Getting here is easy—there’s a parking lot available for all our guests. That said, we highly recommend carpooling or bringing along a designated driver so everyone can fully enjoy the open bar (and still get home safely after the last dance).
Who should I contact if I have questions about the wedding?
f you have any questions about the wedding, reach out to Ayanna Basu, MOH,—our go-to guru for all things “I do.” They’ll have the details, the timeline, and maybe even a pep talk if you need one before hitting the dance floor.
What time should I arrive?
If you’re joining us for the ceremony, please plan to arrive between 2:45 and 3:00 PM—the “I do’s” will start right at 3:15 PM.
If you’re coming for the reception, aim to arrive between 5:45 and 6:15 PM so you have time to find your seat, grab a drink, and get ready—dinner services will begin at 6:30 PM, with toasts kicking off just before the food stations open.
Ceremony
Where is the ceremony?
The ceremony will take place at Pebble Creek Farm, 24030 McDaniel Rd, Sainte Geneviève, MO 63640—a beautiful, rustic setting that’s just as dreamy in person as it sounds on paper.
Will there be transportation to the ceremony?
Nope—no party bus this time! But there’s plenty of parking waiting for you, so feel free to drive right up. We do encourage carpooling—better for the planet, and way more fun to roll in with your crew.
Where should I sit?
it wherever your heart (or your favorite people) lead you—we’re skipping the “bride’s side” and “groom’s side” traditions. This is the joining of two families into one big happy crew, so mix, mingle, and make some new friends before the vows!

RSVP
Can I bring a plus one?
We’d love to say yes to everyone, but due to limited space, invitations and plus-ones are assigned—please check your envelope to see who’s invited. Thanks for understanding!
Can I bring my kids?
We adore little ones, but to keep things comfy and cozy, invitations are limited. If your envelope is addressed to “family,” that means all members of your household are warmly invited to join the celebration. Otherwise, please refer to the names on your invite. Thanks for understanding!
How do I RSVP?
Just click the link right here on our wedding site and fill out the RSVP form. Can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Please RSVP by October 20, 2025 so we can get everything perfectly planned for the big day!
Food & Menu
What if I have a dietary requirement?
We’ve crafted a menu with something for everyone, but if you have any food allergies or special dietary needs, please be sure to mention them in your RSVP so we can make sure you’re well taken care of!
Will you be serving alcohol?
YES! We’ll have an open bar ready to keep the good times flowing all night long. Cheers!
Dress Code
Is there a theme?
No official theme, but we do have a color scheme! Please dress in earth tones—think warm browns, soft beiges, and cozy rusts—but please skip green since that’s our wedding color. Also, we’d really appreciate if you could avoid wearing black. Thanks for helping make the day look as beautiful as possible!
What should I wear?
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference
What shoes should I wear?
For the big day, dress formally but comfortably! Ladies, tea-length (or longer) dresses in earth tones are perfect. Gentlemen, think suit-like attire—no jeans, but jackets are optional if you want to keep it a bit more relaxed. Just remember to stick with earth tones, avoid green (that’s our wedding color), and please skip black. Can’t wait to see you all looking amazing!
Photos & Media
Do you have a wedding hashtag?
Nope, no wedding hashtag here — this is that rare magical window after Patrick’s era and before mine. We figured, why complicate things with a hashtag when the real party’s in person? Plus, your phone batteries will thank you.
Can I take photos?
We’ve hired an amazing photographer to capture every special moment, so please sit back and enjoy the ceremony without snapping photos. After that, feel free to let your inner shutterbug loose during the reception—take all the pictures your heart desires!
Where can I find the photos afterwards?
Out of respect for your privacy (and ours!), we won’t be posting wedding photos on social media. This is an intimate day with our favorite people. But don’t worry—we’ll be sharing all the beautiful photos with you via email so you can relive the memories anytime!
Gifts & Registry
Do you have a gift registry?
We’re so grateful for your love and generosity! We combined households when we moved in together, so we truly don’t need much. But if you’d like to gift something, we have a registry and would warmly appreciate any donations toward our honeymoon fund—helping us make unforgettable memories in Ireland!
What are your registry details?
You can find all our registry details right here— thank you so much for thinking of us!
